VIAfilm provides a range of services in the area of documentary and ethnographic film production. VIAfilm is committed to ethical film making practices. VIAfilm recognises that being allowed to film individuals and communities requires a relationship based on mutual trust between all parties. VIAfilm honours the copyright of any proposals or ideas pitched to us. Clients can obtain more information on production guidelines and protocols from the secure area on this site. The following is a summary of the consent agreements and articles that all parties need to be informed of, and agree to, before work commences. They are to be translated into all languages spoken by the individuals and communities we work with.
In relation to the submission of proposals, communications with clients and Curriculum Vitae sent to VIAfilm:
VIAfilm may collect, use and store personal and sensitive information in relation to the submission of project proposals and communications with clients. VIAfilm recognises and values the protection of your personal information and is committed to meeting the requirements of the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and all relevant privacy laws and regulations in Australia. VIAfilm has implemented a policy to describe the means of collection, use, storage and access of any personal or sensitive information received by VIAfilm from you. What information do we collect? Your option not to provide personal information When you to register your interest in working with VIAfilm, you may need to provide us with your personal information. Giving this information to us is absolutely optional, however if you do not provide it we may not be able to contact you or review your details for the purposes of considering you for a potential assignment.
