Edie Kurzer - The use of theatre in development work

Edie Kurzer has extensive experience as a costume designer, and has worked with leading Australian and international directors in film, television and theatre. She has received three Australian Film Institute award nominations for her work. Edie has also taught fabric printing in Aboriginal communities in Arhemland, and has tutored at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. Edie brings to VIAfilm her creative vision, her strong grasp of the production process, and her passionate curiosity about the world. She has travelled extensively for both work and pleasure. Edie has most recently been working with VIAfilm director, Richard Geeves, documenting the development of a local theatre production in Ratanakiri, Cambodia. The production, which is funded by Health Unlimited, is intended to raise community awareness of HIV AIDS.
